Today our specialist employment solicitor Joanna Robson was interviewed by Jack Carson of GB News.
Labour has proposed a whole raft of measures to ‘make work pay’ in their ‘new deal for working people’. Joanna explained that the headline in Labour’s employment law agenda is its proposal to remove the qualifying period for unfair dismissal claims, as well as for core employment rights such as sick pay and parental leave. She explained that the proposals, whilst appearing attractive to employees, might mean that employers become more wary of recruiting as they will be at greater risk of claims.
