At a recent staff meeting the Pickerings team presented a Long Service award to our Chief Executive Simon King, who this year has completed his 40th year of service with the firm.
Simon joined the firm in March 1978, went on to qualify as a solicitor, and the rest is history!
Having spent much of his early career on criminal law matters, he gravitated towards litigation and employment law which he has practised for the last 20 years or so.
Our firm has changed hugely in that time. Having demerged from Pickering & Butters we went on to become established at 9 Colehill and in 2006 moved to our current premises at Etchell House, Bonehill Road, Tamworth, where we employ 57 members of staff.
As Chief Executive, Simon has steered the firm through good times and bad and had a key role to play in making Pickerings a leading Midlands law firm recognised by The Legal 500.
It's a great shame that we couldn't find a picture of him as a trainee, but the image above will have to do!
