Gaynor Webb from our Private Client team took part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd April. The event was organised by Tommy’s and they are dedicated to funding research into miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth, finding causes and treatments to help to save babies’ lives as well as providing information and support. Other charities were also being supported and so far over £8.8 million has been raised.
Gaynor said of the day;
"I wore my Pickerings Solicitors t-shirt with pride as I joined 17,000 runners over the 13.1 mile route around London finishing in a time of 2hrs 16 mins.
It was an incredible event which started at Trafalgar Square taking in a course passing St Paul’s Cathedral, Bank of England, Tower of London, Westminster Bridge and finishing down Whitehall. The route was lined with supporters and music performers including Rock Choirs and Steel Bands which offered encouragement and helped to keep me and the other runners motivated. There was so much going on, it really was a wonderful atmosphere. I couldn’t stop smiling even though my legs were aching!!
It was a fabulous event and once my tired legs have recovered I may even consider another one!"
Well done Gaynor we are in awe of you. 🏃♀️ 👏
