On Sunday, Tamworth FC played Tottenham Hotspur at home in the third round of the FA Cup. It was a valiant effort from the team, holding off Spurs until extra time, with the Premier League giants having to make several high-profile substitutions to finally see the game over the line. It was a fantastic day for the town, and the players can be incredibly proud of their efforts, knowing that they have done the entire community of Tamworth proud, in front of a sold-out crowd at the Lamb. Pickerings Solicitors were there for a memorable game, in which Tamworth were desperately unlucky and can hold their heads high after that performance. At least we got to see the cup!
